Meet the Maker

It's been a while since I've introduced myself so I thought I'd take the time to do so!

My name is Kia, and I’m 31 years old (32 in a few months). I’m generally a quiet person, an introvert. I love reading, watching old movies, crafting, and indie/folk music. My Sun and Moon are Cancer and Rising is Sagittarius. I love water and the moon. I take pictures of all things in nature, sunrises and sunsets, and of course the moon. I’ve always had dogs my whole life but this year we adopted a cat (she really adopted us) and I’m absolutely in love with her and her attitude!

I started beading because I was looking for something to soothe my soul. I stumbled across Mala beads and then became obsessed with beads and everything about them. This is what lead me to witchcraft.

I’ve been a practicing Witch for 3 years now. I don’t really identify as a particular witch, but I’d say I’m of the Moon, Green, and Kitchen family. This is where I’ve found home. My mother has even been doing it with me. Turns out it’s been our path all along! 

I’m obsessed with food and cooking! I’ve always been a foodie and only in the last few years really dove into cooking and baking. Baking has to be my favourite thing to do! 

The reason why I’m doing this is because I think it’s important to get to know the human behind the business. Social media has really desensitized us and we sometimes forget that there is a human behind all of these small businesses. A human who works hard to pursue their goals and passions. More often than not it’s only one human doing it all. 

I guess I’m saying, as a reminder, to always be kind. Support makers and small businesses in any way you can. We all love you for it!
