Thursday Thoughts - Take a Walk

Journal Prompt – Let the beauty of nature feed your soul. Get outside today, go for a walk, or just hang out in your yard, and write about how you feel afterwards. Or write outside!


Going outside and taking in your surroundings can be incredibly healing and grounding for you mind, body, and spirit. Letting your feet connect with the Earth. Breathing in the fresh air. A meditation in itself.

I’ve never really been an outdoors person, but over the last year I’ve really gotten into gardening and caring for plants. I never thought I would be able to do it, but there is something so peaceful about going out and watering your plants and tending to your garden. I would sometimes even go out just to experience the comfort and peace, and not even do anything.

If you live in Alberta, like me, we are in the middle of a heat wave this week. So, if you do decide to go outside, because patios just re-opened (YAY!), stay hydrated and protect your skin from the sun! Or just stick to your backyard! Don’t forget to journal about your experience!
